Tobishima Pier South Side
1 container berth:
With the aim of strengthening international competitiveness, a container berth (16 m deep, 250 m long, 500 m wide) is planned adjacent to two berths already in operation. The first berth was completed in 2005 and the second berth began operation in 2008.
Nabeta Pier
1 container berth:
In line with the increasing demands of foreign trade container cargo, as well as the advancement and concentration of distribution functions, a third container berth (12 m deep, 250 m long, 500 m wide, reinforced earthquake-resistant structure) is currently under construction and will be put into operation in March, 2012.

Channels
East Channel: 16 m deep/580 m wide
West Channel: 14m deep/400-540 m wide
Central Channel: 12-16 m deep/350 m wide
In order to meet demands placed by the increasing size of containerships of recent years, both East and West Channels are to be further dredged and expanded.
