Fee Incentives

The Nagoya Port Authority is providing the following incentives for port users.

Port Dues/Dockage

Vessels entering the port prior to the day of stevedoring operation

Vessels entering the Port between two days prior to and midnight of the day before stevedoring operations are exempt from dockage fees/mooring buoy usage fees at public berths until 8:00 am. of the day of actual stevedoring operations.
All vessels (coastal, oceangoing, conventional, container and cruise vessels) meeting the above condition are eligible for this incentive.
*This incentive is only available in cases when public berths/buoys are being used.

Vessels conducting stevedoring works on Sundays

Container vessels conducting stevedoring operation on Sundays are exempt from port dues.

Container vessels on the first round of newly inaugurated routes

The first vessel calling at the Port on a newly inaugurated route or a resumed route can receive a 100% discount on port dues.

Vessels of 40,000 G/T and over

Large vessels weighing 40,000 G/T and over can receive a 5% discount on port dues. In addition, discounts of 5% are available for use of public berths and mooring buoys.

Container vessels of 40,000 G/T and over

The maximum amount of port dues for container vessels of 40,000 G/T and over is set at 102,600 JPY.

Car carrier vessels

Oceangoing car carrier vessels that use a public berth twice or more for handling of completed automobiles in one arrival.

Cruise vessels

Cruise vessels entering the Port can receive a 100% discount on port dues.

Vessels with a Green Award Certificate can receive a 15% discount on port dues.

Ocean-going vessels certified by the IAPH to have an ESI value 30 or above can receive a 15% discount on port dues.

LNG-fueled vessels and LNG bunkering vessels

Vessels with LNG-powered engines, including dual-fuel engines (except LNG carriers), and LNG fuel supply vessels are exempt from port dues.

Usage fee for the cargo handling yard for complete automobiles

For complete automobiles that are manufactured overseas (only complete automobiles that are directly discharged from vessels to the port).
