Measurement of radiation in the atmosphere and radioactivity in the seawater at Port of Nagoya
In accordance with the “Guidelines for Radiation Measurements in Ports” which was announced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) on April 22, 2011, the Nagoya Port Authority had been measuring the radioactivity in seawater and radiation levels in the atmosphere of the Port periodically since May 2011 as follows.
From the start of the measurements until March 2018, the results of the atmospheric radiation measurements were within the environmental criteria every time, and radioactive materials were never detected in the seawater.
Therefore, the measurements were suspended in April 2019 but will be resumed if needed.

Remarks about measurement result
The radiation dose is measured one meter above the ground surface in each point.
Measurement results may differ form the data measured by research institutes and others due to the effect of radiation from the ground surface or outer space.
